Friday - Start/Finish Setup Medium Priority

Details

You will have the honor of prepping the Start and Finish line to look awesome for the runners and walkers arriving the next day.

Tasks may involve:
- fine tuning barricade positions
- Attaching branded barricade covers,
- Setting up the Inflatable arch tunnel
- Prepping the Race Day registration
- Prepping the post-race snack and Food areas
- Setting up Corral and directional signage
- Prepping the water stop vehicle supplies

Post Race Refreshment and Medal Helper - Comerica Park High Priority

Details

Provide event finishers their finisher medals and refreshments. Assist with set-up, distribution and break down. You'll be stationed inside Comerica Park and will greet race finishers as they exit Comerica Field.

Water Station Attendant - on course High Priority

Details

Water Station attendants will provide water (and enthusiasm!) for all race participants. The aid station will be supplied with bottled water and volunteers will place the water on the table for participants to pick up on their own – providing a contactless experience. Aid Station volunteers will also keep the area tidy, and manage the trash cans – replacing bags when they become full and will cheer on our participants!

Course Monitor High Priority

Details

You will make the event possible by assisting police in keeping intersections closed to traffic along the race route. Bring your enthusiasm to cheer participants on as you keep traffic from entering the course! Locations will be pre-assigned and location requests will be honored to the best of our ability. Your shift ends when the last participant and police officer pass your intersection from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Must be 18+ or accompanied by an adult.

Floater High Priority

Details

Consider yourself the utility man/woman on race day. As jobs arise on race day, you'll be the hero that comes in and saves the day. You might be at the start line, finish line, on course or in the stadium. Floaters will check in with our volunteer coordinator on race day and will be assigned a job at that time.

Post-race Tear-down Medium Priority

Details

After the race is finished, we have to clean up all our supplies and pack it all away and reopen the streets. All of this is done in just a fraction of the time setup takes, so the event staff will truly appreciate any help with these items.
Tasks may include:
- Taking down and folding up our custom Barricade covers
- Deflating and rolling up the arches for storage and transport
- Consolidating remaining shirts
- Consolidating leftover food for donations
- Helping tear down all signs and loading vehicles
- Ensuring all the garbage is properly moved inside Comerica Park
